Headed by Alex MacKinnon, our Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals (FX) Division started trading in late 2004.
With an average increase in trading volumes of 15% each quarter over the past 12 months, we are now ranked as one of the largest non-bank participants in the foreign exchange (FX) market.
With the opening of our offices in Tokyo and Chicago, further growth is expected.
This success is based on a very simple recipe: as the FX market evolves, we always listen to, understand and satisfy our clients’ foreign exchange (FX) trading needs.
We provide cost effective 24 hour access to the world’s foreign exchange and precious metals (FX) markets, for both retail and institutional clients. FX Trading is possible either via our online FX maxi & mini platforms or telephone. Client assistance is provided by experienced FX professionals via live chat or telephone.
Transparent competitive pricing
Due to our level of overall order flow, we are able to offer competitive, tight spreads to our FX clients.
We regularly trade in over 80 currency pairs and will quote on any tradable “exotic” currency pair.
FX Margin requirements start at one per cent and we do not charge fees, commission or other dealing charges. In addition we pay interest on cash balances not being used for margin purposes.

My responsibility has been to globally build up the portfolio of products and platforms we offer clients and ensure we have the highest calibre of staff on the sales and trading desks.
Clients quite rightly expect their trades and orders to be efficiently executed and in support they want to have knowledgeable, experienced people they can trust. We provide direct market access and straight through processing (STP) across our product range. Our senior trading staff (on each desk) all have a minimum of at least ten years - and usually a lot more - experience in the business.
Each product has its own character and validity in a client’s portfolio and a lot of our clients trade multiple products. So it’s great to see the sharing of ideas and knowledge between our different desks, which can then be passed on to our clients.
There’s a buzz on the trading floor and as we introduce new products, bring new teams on board and open new offices around the globe, I want to maintain that positive atmosphere and dedication to servicing our clients.
